Learn about how to participate in the Northwestern Externship Program (NEXT) — a one-day shadowing program that allows current Northwestern students to accompany alumni on the job in an industry of their choice this spring. Registration begins January 20 and runs through February 7. Co-sponsored by the Northwestern Alumni Association.

NYC Startup Trek
Application Deadline: Monday, Jan. 30 | Trek: During spring break (Tuesday, Mar. 21 & Wednesday, Mar. 22) | All Undergraduate Students
Join NCA on its first Startup Trek to New York City during spring break to visit growing companies and meet with key alumni. Participating companies include Yext, Cheddar, Compass and others.

UChicago CURE Summer Research Program
Application Deadline: Friday, Jan. 20 (before midnight CST) | Program Dates: June 19-Aug. 11 | First-Years, Sophomores
UChicago CURE is a summer research program for underrepresented college students interested in careers in biomedicine. Participants work full time in cancer research laboratories and engage in weekly career- and skill- building activities and social events. The programs are free, and students receive a $3,500 stipend.

ChicagoCHEC Research Fellows Program 2017
Application Deadline: Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 11:59 pm CST | Undergraduate and postbaccalaureate students who are planning to apply to graduate or medical school
The Chicago Cancer Health Equity Collaborative (ChicagoCHEC) Research Fellows will spend the summer in seminars and research rotations learning from leading researchers and will have the option to be matched with a research mentor and research project during the academic year.
