The Civic Engagement Certificate Program gives students the skills and experiences necessary to become leaders in the field of civic engagement. Through both hands-on community engagement and classroom learning, students gain a deeper understanding of communities and are supported in endeavors to achieve positive social change.
All Northwestern freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are welcome to apply to this 2-year, 5-credit program. The Certificate Program incorporates 100 hours of community engagement and a Capstone Project in collaboration with a local organization.
