The Northwestern application to study abroad for summer, fall, and full-year programs is February 10.

The study abroad application has several components:

  • Personal & Academic Information
  • Preliminary Course Plan
  • Personal Statements
  • Unofficial Transcript
  • School Representative’s Signature

Reminder to students with declared Weinberg majors/minors:  As part of the application process, all study abroad applicants with declared Weinberg College majors or minors must meet with their Department Advisers to discuss their study abroad course plans, as well as complete and upload the WCAS Department Approval for Study Abroad form. Make sure to meet with your departmental adviser(s) before meeting with your School Representative.

Be proactive – schedule appointments with your academic advisors ASAP:  The Preliminary Course Plan and School Representative Signature sections of the study abroad application require you to meet with your academic advisers so they can sign off on your academic plans while abroad. Calendars fill up quickly – don’t wait until the last minute! Meet with your academic adviser(s) and School Representative early in winter quarter (e.g. prior to January 31) to ensure you can complete your application by the February 10 deadline.
