Declare an SoC Major 

Any student admitted to the School of Communication is admitted to one of the school’s six major programs. Non SoC students who wish to declare an SoC major must first transfer into SoC via the interschool transfer application. In the application students must select a major; once approved, no additional paperwork is required to declare the major.

The School of Communication does not allow double majors where both majors are within the SoC. SoC students have the option of pursuing double majors or adjunct majors outside the School of Communication, as well as minors either within or outside the School of Communication. 

 Students in the School of Communication earn a BA or BS in Communication, not in their selected major. The degree will appear on the diploma, and the major will appear on the transcript.
