The Office of Fellowships offers competitive awards that pay students to explore multiple areas within their field of interest. Fellowships can award students for engaging in creative, research or community-project grants, academic study scholarships, or professional-development internships.

#1 – Funding for Student Research and Experiential Learning

The Undergraduate Research Assistant Program (URAP) offers students the opportunity to assist faculty members with their actual research and/or creative projects. This program allows students to learn about research practices and realities from faculty mentors without the burden of having to come up with an independent project.
Open to all fields of study, the Academic Year Research Grants provide students with funding to support the expenses associated with executing an independent academic or creative project. The Grant is connected to either an independent study or thesis seminar and requires multiple aspects of the research process including data collection, analysis and synthesis of
First-year undergraduates are eligible to apply for an Early Research Experience Award (EREA), which pairs them with a faculty member specializing in a topic of interest to the student. During this time students will engage in at least 100 hours of research work and earn a monetary award for their contributions.
