VentureCat, Northwestern’s annual student startup competition

VentureCat Info Session

An info session for VentureCat, Northwestern’s annual student startup competition, will be held virtually on Thursday, February 3 at 6:15pm CT. Registration via Zoom is required. Join the session to learn about application and eligibility requirements, resources available to help you prepare and timelines. VentureCat 2022 applications will open on March 29 and the competition will be held on May 25. Up to 25 of Northwestern’s most promising student-founded startups will be selected to compete for more than $300,000 in non-dilutive prize money. Business Entity Formation & University IP Policy Overview Session

To apply to VentureCat, teams must have a registered business entity at the time of application. Join us for this session on February 10 with Esther Barron and Darren Green, of the Donald Pritzker Entrepreneurship Law Center. They will cover commonly asked questions about entity formation and co-founder agreements. Sarah Kamper, Invention Manager at INVO, Northwestern’s Innovation and New Ventures Office, will also present an overview of the University IP policy and steps to ensure you are working in compliance with all guidelines.
