Introduction to Diversity in Doctoral Education and Scholarship (IDDEAS)

Greetings from Kellogg!

We would like to share with you a special opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds who are interested in research and a career in academia.

IDDEAS is a two-day program for undergraduate students held on October 21-22, 2021 that is co-hosted by the PhD Programs at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

IDDEAS seeks to attract a diverse group of promising undergraduate students and introduce them to research at the doctoral level. Participants will:

  • Learn about research within a business school.
  • Receive advice and insights about the PhD application process.
  • Meet and interact with PhD students and faculty.
  • Discuss careers in research and teaching.

Ideal candidates for IDDEAS Scholars are current undergraduate students with strong quantitative skills and academic records. Applications from women and under-represented populations are encouraged. Candidates must complete an application to help us learn about you and your interest in research.

Please contact us with any questions you may have.
